Accounting Function

The H&B accounting team manages all aspects of the accounting function from our corporate offices located in Ayrsley. Our Vice President of Accounting and their staff of accounting professionals handle the demands of a multi-property accounting system. They provide managed properties with a complete hospitality accounting solution on a daily basis. Constant assistance is provided with all accounting functions to each property. H&B Hospitality Management provides the properties with a comprehensive hospitality operations guide that covers all aspects of on-property administration. These policies and procedures are reviewed annually by both our hospitality accounting staff and our independent certified public accounting firm to make sure they are up-to-date with the most current standards in the industry.

We utilize a state of the art centralized accounting system which allows our hospitality management company to detect and respond to costs that challenge a business daily.

The accounting team provides these services:

  • General ledger analysis

  • Fixed asset recording and maintenance

  • Accounts payable management and check writing

  • Accounts receivable management and monitoring

  • Daily revenue reporting and analysis

  • Daily cash reporting and cash flow analysis

  • Coordination of bi-weekly payroll with our payroll service

The administration of human resources is a critical function in hotel management and H&B Hospitality Management has a dedicated professional to keep pace with current law. The Vice President of HR at the corporate level builds, incorporates and sustains a comprehensive and vibrant culture at the property level with the aid of property Human Resource Managers. The focus is on structured and comprehensive guidelines in the following areas:

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

H&B Hospitality Management’s primary goal for food and beverage operations is to provide a quality experience for our guests while maximizing revenue opportunities.  We also strive to meet and exceed brand expectations for complimentary services.

H&B’s focus is to train associates and develop systems that provide guests with a quality and consistent experience. In addition to contracted services, we perform continuous evaluations of all food vendor products regarding the food quality and pricing. Additional areas of focus:

• Retail and banquet menu development

• Develop training, “best practices” and detailed shop call programs

• Provides on-going competitive/market pricing analysis in banquet/catering and F&B retail outlets
